Cranial-Sacral Fascial Therapy
Our fasica is an interconnected web of connective tissue within our body. It has as many nerve endings as our skin, and just as sensitive to pain. Tension or strain in one area of the fasica can manifest as pain in an unrelated area of the body. CFT seeks to unwind the whole person to promote healing. It recognizes that the cause of our struggles is often tied up in an area of our body that seems unrelated. Just like a tree, if there is a knot in the tree, the whole grain reflects it. If our fascia is tight, our whole body will feel the effects.
About me
As a mom of three girls and a medical professional, I have seen just how much stress can impact our chronic health conditions. Cranial-sacral Fascial therapy gave me a way to fight back against fascial strain and tension that impaired my body’s ability to recover. The Gillespie Approach to CFT trained me to help the body release and unwind tension through patient led movement. It is a gentle modality that works along side many others, complementing and enhancing them as well. CFT is not massage, it is not cranial-sacral therapy, it is not myo-functional, but a hybrid approach to whole body treatment.
